Enchanted Prince Gameplay

Enchanted Prince is a traditional low-volatility slot. With 25 adjustable paylines across its 5x3 reel grid, payouts are awarded for landing two to three or more matching symbols. Its low volatility level means the pace feels faster, as wins are typically fairly frequent, albeit small.

Although the lowest-paying symbols are the basic card symbols, they’ve been stylised with motifs to make them appear more on theme. These can award between 100x and 400x your bet per line. Above that, there are the lily pad and floating flower symbols, which can pay up to 800x your bet per line. The three highest paying symbols are the crystal heart, the castle and the princess, which offer up to 1,400x, 1,800x and 2,400x your stake per line, respectively. The increase between each symbol is fairly gradual until you get to the top three, where the prizes jump significantly. This can make the smaller wins feel less meaningful.

Graphics, Sounds and Vibes

One drawback of Enchanted Prince is that the design can feel a bit dated, especially the computer-generated graphics, which are reminiscent of early 1990s digital art. However, this is quite typical for older Eyecon games and adds a quaint charm that certain players find appealing.

The sound effects aren’t connected to the theme and instead imitate the sounds you would hear playing on classic fruit machines in land-based casinos. The symbols and lily pond backdrop fit well with the theme, making the game feel cohesive, and the little animation that plays when you land multiple frog scatters is a nice touch.

The tension increases during the free spins round as the background darkens and the reels spin automatically. During this, music is added in the tune of a jaunty classical theme that adds atmosphere and keeps you engaged.

When this happens, a small animation plays of the princess leaning in to kiss the frog, who then transforms into a charming prince.

Testing the Enchanted Prince Slot with a £50 Bankroll

At this point, my balance was down to £24.72. I had a few more inconsequential wins and then two well-placed wild symbols led to a payout of £4.00 on spin 41. Right at the end of my session, on spins 47, 48 and 50, I got lucky and received three substantial wins of £6.32, £2.64 and £2.72. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite enough to get me back to where I’d started and I ended the session with a balance of £28.32, meaning an overall loss of £21.68.

While Magic Mirror Deluxe II offers a higher RTP and maximum win than Enchanted Prince, its high volatility level won’t suit all budgets. Once Upon A Time has a wide range of bonus features, but that means it has a steeper learning curve than Enchanted Prince.
